Alberta Museums Association
The Alberta Museums Association (AMA) was founded in 1971 as a non-profit society through which museum workers could meet for the benefit of Alberta's developing museum community. Today, the AMA counts more than 260 Institutional and 330 Individual Members among its membership of Alberta museums and museum professionals.
The AMA is a member-driven organization that serves the needs of its membership. It consists of an elected, volunteer Board, an Executive Director, and a Secretariat to provide leadership, aid, and service to the Alberta community.
Our Mission: The Alberta Museums Association leads, facilitates, and supports museums in their vital role with communities.
