I was born and raised in rural, northern British Columbia where their health care system was struggling to serve its community’s needs. Growing up in this environment made me realize how pivotal a family doctor is in a person’s life and I strive to be the type of doctor that understands each of my patient’s to the same extend family doctors used to. My patients and I work together to find treatments that are effective and suite their individualized needs and goals.

With heart disease running strong in my family, I find studying the cardiovascular system incredibly interesting and I am constantly researching all of the latest research and innovations surrounding this topic. What I have learned, more than anything, is that most of these conditions are highly preventable and there is a lot more we, as doctors, could be doing to help stop this growing phenomenon. I work primarily with patients who already have heart/vascular conditions, have elevated risk factors (high cholesterol, high blood pressure, family history of heart attacks, ect.) or would like their health assessed for preventative reasons. My practice involves thorough and specific testing, holistic treatment plans and health education that is delivered by blending modern, science-based medicine with the art of ancient medical philosophies.
